"And I promise you, I will be even more over-protective of my child than I am of my husband." Amy offered him a weak sort of smile, swallowing the chuckle that had almost freed itself at the look on his face. She knew that many people felt like she protected Octavian too much, but his innocence was something she wanted to nurture as best she could. She wanted his life to be the best it could possibly be. She had suffered so much and she couldn't imagine what would happen if he was forced to live through it all, as well.
"You have so much more to offer your child, Eto... You are powerful, quick of mind. You are intelligent and well traveled. You have things to offer that most parents can only dream of... You and Don, you are not the first people I'd think of as parents, but you both have something that not even I have. You should not sell yourself short."

Eto just shook his head. "I have a legacy of war, and pain to leave my children. I have my own soul, granted to me through demonic rituals. I have separated the human and the vampire so completely that you could not stand to be in the room with the creature. What you have is far more than I ever will. The kindness you show outsiders, and those ignorant of your ways, myself included is magnificent. The only Kindness I have ever shown is murdering the grandparents of my children, to save their mother torment."
The fiery haired mercenary wasn't a politician, nor any kind of diplomat, he was a fighter, a bodyguard, and a monster. Things he'd come to terms with centuries before. Could he really raise a child to be anything but what he'd become? Two centuries as a vampire, and his body count could put minor wars to shame. He shook his head placing his hands on his face before sighing. There was nothing left to give Amy, or the others. All he had to do was make sure there was one more parent for his children, then he could help finish Amy's war, then go on to fight Thorns.

Amy couldn't help the soft chuckle, then, giving a slight shake of her head. She knew that the death of the Devils should have upset her; she had known Marth and Matrea for a number of years. Both had been present during the reign of Lunaria and the DeMorieve clan. Both knew some of her dirtiest secrets, and she, theirs. However, it remained that those secrets kept her from feeling any sort of remorse over their passing.
"You saved their mother, as well as any of them, should they be female. Matrea's... proclivities did not end with Don, you know." She gave a disgusted shake of her head. If any of their children even vaguely resembled their mother or her mother before her, then she would have feared for them.
"Once more. You sell yourself short. Though, I'm certain you will learn that with time."

Eto sighed and nodded once, the futility of the argument donning on him. "I'm going to bring Don to the Manor when the time is right, I'd rather her be here than in hell when she gives birth, if that's okay by you..?" He asked not exactly sure what else to say to the oddly title Prince. They had opposing views on almost everything, but she was honorable and noble, and he was glad one of his children was going to be in her charge. "I... Don't know what else to tell you Amy. I'm sorry things have worked out the way they have." The mercenary shook his head a bit and sighed, pulling his knees up so that he could rest his chin.
The mercenary for the first time in centuries looked unsure, not only of what it was he was supposed to do, but if he was going to even survive the coming events. Children complicated things for him, compromised his judgement. Eto was nineteen again and completely unsure of everything in his future.

"Don't apologize. I appreciate you. You've helped to improve my world." Amy smiled, folding both of her hands in her lap and turning her attention out to the sky, looking far more peaceful than she had since she had since the mercenary had arrived.
"Don has a room here and she will be safe. Honestly, she would probably be safer here than in Hell. No harm shall befall her. Her cousin, Dominique, works at a local bar. She can serve as her midwife. As I have been informed, she's a lesser demon, but should understand the process intimately."

Eto sat listening quietly, not saying anything for a few moments before tilting his head a bit. "You mean the daemon that I almost obliterated?" He asked curiously still looking out at the skyline. With a shake of his head the vampire stood up and looked toward the Prince of the City. "Doesn't matter, I trust your judgement. Keep Don and the others safe. I have to go spill some blood." He offered Amy a courteous not before taking a step backwards, dropping off the roof of the building. The moment he'd landed he burst into a run, tearing through the city. He had a very small number of things he needed to finish before this war started ten fold. Unfortunately the first of which involved a madman.
