Avice would smile and continue the conversation. "I suppose true peace is indeed impossible, Then again that too is kind of an opinion someone in this world will disagree with. But even with a nickname like that, Prince Amy is a peaceful kind of person. She has a firm hand on Nagasaki. And your journey is just begining, we just have some extra time to live it. I think I am coming up on my 5th or 6th year being undead. I wandered about for the first few alone kind of like you. Not very proud of those years, but I did what I could to survive. Not to mention I only see shades and shadows, the night is actually a weakness for me, everything is way darker and melts together. Really I think I have only found what really is going on in the last 2 or 3 years tops. That sounds a big vague but I lost track some where early in my un-life. A lot happened."
While they talked it was a few passing blocks before she took a turn that lead straight to the Manor. It was not much longer they would be at the front doors. Once inside they would head up the spiral stair case to the large double doors where Amy would be. She was not sure how far she would need to take Gavin but she had to admit even though it was unexpected, the encounter was pleasantly nice. Pouring over nostalgic and poor memories made her feel good about where she is now. The peace she did find was good, she only feared loosing more of it than she already had. They were still a bit of a walk away from the manor at the moment and Avice was not against talking more about finding a way in this world.

He had to admit they had come far in such a short time... From suspicion and worry to being comfortable and just enjoying conversation, dispite Chester's thoughts at the moment he was actually enjoying his evening and if Avice trusted Amy and told him not to worry then he wouldn't.
"I've been around about 3-4 years now myself. After I was turned I was left there alone and had no clue what was going on. I'd say the first 2-3 years were the hardest. Only recently have I come to any kind of terms with it. However, after tonight and talking with you I still see I have much to learn. I am starting to see why you were chosen though. Dispite your weakness to the night, you ARE easy to talk to and that will always lower tensions."
He smiled his little smirk again. It was true, she was much easier then that one he talked to in Austin... Or the one he talked to in Chicago... Even the one that told him about Amy, he couldnt help but keep his hands holding the knives he carried the whole time. He started to rethink the question Avice asked him about what he would do when he found Nora again. Maybe getting some answers would be good enough... Maybe he could start fresh here...
<<And maybe you wont live through the night. Gav, please, just try to stay alert tonight. We can think about that stuff later.>>
.... And maybe get a lobotomy
<<I heard that>>
Gavin chuckled again, but Chester was right. He could daydream later for now he needed to stay focused. In the distance he saw what must be a home only suited for a prince, but he could still enjoy the conversation until they arrived. He wondered if Avice would be allowed to accompany him or if he would have to see Prince Amy alone. They still had some time, might as well ask.
"So are you going to be there too or will I be meeting her alone?"...

Avice would nod as he spoke about the chance encounter possibly not being so unusual. Though she hadn't heard anyone say she was able to lower tensions before, that was unusual to think about. However she hadn't heard to many opinions about herself unless they were on her bad side or Amy's. Still she welcomed the compliment. However she did take note that there was quite a bit that went about in his mind. This was a strange circumstance, even Avice first getting here had a lot she did not know, and with her being hunted by her Sire's enemies she was almost positive she would walk in and meet a knife. When she hadn't it was not easy to find out it was never going to come. She took the chance to get stronger, accepted a ladder from the dark pit she was stuck in.
" You and I really are not that far apart in age then, I did quite a bit of reading, Amy has a library filled with old books about the Camarilla and clans." But Avice gave his question a bit of thought. "I suppose, I should stay with you until Amy comes around at least. She might not know what is going on. When he heard you were coming, Finn, He has his own agenda it seems. I am not very sure what goes on in his head most of the time. So even if he knew you were coming and sent me, I don't trust 100% that he would have told Amy. Some people here are like that so I suppose it is better to be safe than sorry."

He liked the conversation he was having and it made him feel a little better in knowing she would be there with him. He had never met a Prince and had no knowledge of what could happen. He looked at Avice and smiled.
"Well at least I have a little better idea of what to expect and for that I thank you."
He came to a stop and looked across the street to see two men standing on either end of a large wrought iron gate.
"So I guess this is the place huh?
He took a few seconds to ready himself. His fingers started to rub together on his right hand. A habit he had since he was a child when he was nervous. His thumb would rub in a circle over the tips of his index and middle fingers and he'd calm down.
He took a breath, released, put his shades back on and smiled once again at Avice.
"Shall we then?"

Avice gave him the moment. She smiled, almost happy she could help. While he did so she would run her fingers through her curls and fluff the moisture out the best way she could. Amy had a thing for clean and neat and Avice did do her best to maintain the basics of that. Once she was done she placed her hands upon her waist.
"Yup, follow me up the winding stair case." She did She would expect him to survey the building it is a pretty one but after finding out what she learned about him tonight their might be some other surveying. Avice looked upon the faces of every person her first time she watched the corners and was worried about the knife she thought about. However she would lead him to the stairs and up to the next floor. Close by was the double doors to Amy's room. There was someone positioned at it but recognizing Avice he would let them both pass into the room.

The inside of the manor home was kept to the same immaculate expectations as the small garden between the gate and the front door. Bathed in a soft light, the tan floors reflected back on the tan ceiling, and we're caught only by the dark browns and mocha colors of the couches and pillows. O'Connor manor was huge: multiple stories tall, the first floor was an open room with a bar tucked safely away in one corner. A single bartender occupied the space behind the wood: a youthful Asian human, the woman was well dressed with not a hair out of place.
A dozen or so retainers danced around the main greeting room, maintaining the obsessive cleanliness that the O'Connor family preferred. They were all dressed as if there were some formal event, in black ties and beautiful cocktail dresses. The rooms to either side of the main hall were closed, the doors locked carefully to ensure the privacy of whatever might lie behind.
Avice would easily be able to find her way to the tea room where the Prince more often than not took visitors. Decorated as traditionally as possible, the small square room had a low set table and pillows to either side, a green and white tea set stark against the dark grain of the wood. A retainer stood from their kneeling position beside the table, finishing her task just as they would arrive.
"Ah, yes, yes! I apologize! Welcome back, Miss Locke. Should I go fetch Missus O'Connor?" The retainer murmured with an excited grin, carefully cradling the tray between her hands. Like the others, she was dressed in heels and a short gown, her hair tied up elegantly to show the curve of her neck. "Would you and our guest like anything in particular? Miss Cho is not the bartender tonight, but I assure you, the Lafitte wine tonight is the best! I opened the bottle myself!"

"Yes, could you please, I hope we are catching her at a good time. but I don't need anything, what about you Gavin?" Avice answered the retainer then turned to Gavin just after she headed to the center table taking a floor cushion seat. Doing this made things feel nostalgic since she first got here this is where she too was at. Since then the very same room had been used for other things but she remembered what it was like looking upon it all for the first time. Doing so she'd hope to help relate to Gavin's situation to the best way she knew how.
As soon as Gavin gave her an answer she would find Amy and it was very quickly she worked. Amy always looked for things working like clockwork. Avice was already pretty comfortable and even sat in a less traditional style but still properly placed crossing her legs over each other. The super stiff way made Avice more clumsy and awkward, so it was the best way she knew how.
"By the way you mentioned I was very formal about it all. This place pretty much takes the cake for formal, not to mention I grew up in a Catholic Orphanage. It might have been a rough place but I guess it prepared me for this places too." She would tell this to Gavin to break the ice and give the stiff silence that would over come the room an easier feel. If he was comforted by her talking before she'd hope to keep it up as the more tense situation grew real near.
Amy paid special attention to Avice that first time for being Clanless and she would admit she was a step away from running then. Being trapped and defenseless was not a fun feeling. It really was a lucky shot in the dark she placed her fate in Rumor, then Inuko, and now Prince Amy. The very person who would have the final say in which Avice lived or died that day and the very person who would soon walk into this very room as usual.

Gavin found himself in awe. He didnt know what to do except walk around the room looking at everything. He barely caught Avice's offer.
"Sounds fine to me. I'll be honest I am not used to this at all"
<<Yeah no shit Gavin. You need to go NOW... This place is immaculate and you might as well have come off the street. Do you really want to meet the Vicereine of Violence in her immaculate estate looking like this?!?>>
Gavin turned from Avice for a second and pretended to look at the decor as he closed his eyes and concentrated to try and quiet Chester down. If he couldnt calm Chester this could get ugly and fast.
>>Chez listen, PLEASE, Im sure shes not expecting me in a tux considering i was basically summoned immediately from the airport. If she seems offended we will do our best to appoligise for our apperance and move on. Please relax.<<
He felt Chester take a step back but he was under control... For now at least.
He turned back toward Avice as she mentioned the formaility.
"Well if you cant tell..." he smirked and looked over the top of his shades at her "Im not used to seeing a room like this."
He went and sat down near her and continued.
"To be honest, I feel a little underdressed. Do you think I look ok enough to meet her?"
He was able to keep the small smile on his face the whole time. Years of living in Boston had taught him how to keep his face composed no matter what his mind was thinking.

"Well certainly not, like I said, I was an orphan, and I was on the run. I actually would wear the same thing until I reached the next town. then I'd steal more and repeat. It was a nice trick when I found out it was harder for them to smell me for a few days. It gave me some kind of head start." Avice grinned. "When I met Amy I found out recently my sister assumes I was Nosferatu. They are like crazy good with technology but are on the side of a curse where they look really dead and decayed. So they stay in graveyards and sewers. So I smelled like death. Sure I had a bath before we decided to leave to nagasaki. But I was still short on clothes, I hadn't trusted anyone enough yet to not keep my own things close. Even with that look at me now." Avice gestured to her own black tank top and worn jacket. Her pants were black as well as her boots. She only made the effort to see those were clean when walking in so not to track dirt. once she did that she would lean back with her hands on the floor and elbows locked to support her weight. The only thing wearable that was not black on her was her necklace and the hidden bunch of plastic beaded bracelets where her jacket covered them. Of course it was not uncommon for her to wear black it is the only color that never mislead her. Being Monochromacy was not easy and if she did not want to end up in something ridiculously mismatched then black it was.
"Speaking of Clans though Amy is Ventrue, they are the Royalty of vampires, they are said to be the oldest of clans. Amy dresses and lives that way no doubt. But she doesn't take after her Father, He'd be the one to get mad if you were not clean before appearing before him. Amy doesn't seem to want to do much with him, thank goodness. She takes in people and really helps find them what they need. Kind of a Ventrue for the common Kindred."

Gavin saw her so relaxed and wondered if it was just for show or if there really was nothing to worry about. He smiled again just thinking that maybe he had gotten worked up over nothing. He thought of relaxing himself but he knew that if he let down any part of his guard at this moment that Chester would lose any thing that was left holding him back.
He looked over at Avice again and replied.
"So a real people's champion then. I look forward to meeting her then. I must thank you Avice. You have already expanded my knowledge of this new life so much more then I had before I came here.", he said with a smile "Is there any way I may be of service in return for your kindness?"

Avice chuckled, "I was just following orders really, You don't owe me anything." But then Avice looked at him and her smile faded. "I do have to mention one thing, My real job is what they call a Scourge, pretty much I am Amy's Executioner. She is judge, and she gives me the word. You shouldn't have a problem, but I don't know who your Sire is. Should they be under Amy's protection or some other way affiliated you will need to make your case if you decide to pull out your knives on them." Yes Avice did notice him reaching in his pockets and fiddling with them. She learned to pay attention to that kind of thing. "I hope being the first one to meet you here in Nagasaki, that I wont be the last one to see you out."
It was not a warning and it was not a threat. The kindness in her face would really hope all it would be okay for Gavin. Weather he would meet his Sire and get his answers or find the things he always feared. Either way there would be rewards and consequences. Bringing the curtain down on Amy's enemies was with out questioning however she only seemed to have to do it for those who were the real scum of the bucket. She doubt Gavin would be on that list, still she wanted to make sure he knew the weight of this world.

She had a point and Gavin was glad that she let him know the situation as it stood. Chester was not too thrilled about being in between the judge and the executioner. Gavin looked at the doors Amy was sure to come through.
<<So our only hope is that your sire that you are hunting is not with the prince or else this will be our last evening.>> thought Chester.
>>No Chez. Our hope is that we make the right call depending on the situation. Avice just told us what to do. If Nora is with Amy then we stay our blade and just ask for answers. To be honest I understand you want her dead but we dont know the rules and apparently there are a few we should get to know before we do anything reguarding Nora. I swear everything will be fine.<< Gavin thought in return.
And he truely believed that. He didnt believe he had done anything wrong. After all he had only just arrived and he was approached by Avice. He hadnt saited his thirst when he arrived and was showing respect to the prince's authority and rule. He was pretty sure he would be fine.
His smile faded as he thought about all this but he also didnt want Avice to think there was a huge problem either. He could tell she was worried to tell him her position in the court... Right now he needed all the allies he could muster.
He chose his words carefully, removed his sunglasses and faced Avice.
"I understand the situation I find myself in... And I greatly appreciate that you have told me your position. After listening to you tell your story I could only begin to understand how difficult it must be to inform me, a stranger in essence, that you are a scourge. But I assure you, that you have nothing to fear. I am confident that to this point Ive done no wrong... So as long as I react in the correct manner then I should be ok. If my sire is part of her court then I will cross that bridge at that time."
He then smiled once more.
"But for the moment, I will continue to enjoy your company if that is ok. It has been a long time since I've seen a genuine smile and it would be a waste to see it disappear so quickly."
He then faced the doors again as his right hand once again went to the chain connected to his wallet.
"Her name is Nora by the way... Nora Snow. Does that ring any bells by chance?"

Avice was incredibly relieved that her words did not rub the wrong way. But she gave his question some thought trying to remember any one named "Nora Snow". It seemed like an easily remembered name. However Avice was not sure if that rang any bells. After a few seconds of no bells ringing she concluded that in all of Nagasaki it was not one she had heard. "Nope no one I see regularly here. I don't think I have ever met anyone named that. Maybe that is both good and bad news isn't it. No closer than you were two minutes ago in finding her but if I have not heard the name around here it might be a good thing." Avice also had taken note about him fiddling with his chain but she felt that was something more personal than the knives and not threatening. Maybe it was a picture of her he held, it could be anything. Still she noticed they were there for sometime and Amy hadn't glided through the doors yet.
"We must have caught Amy at a bad time, she is busy these days. I know any day now I am supposed to meet with her and the council." Avice blurted. It was not a secret but she really did not know much about the state of nagasaki and it's territories. That was the point to the meeting that has yet to happen.

He could tell that something was up. Even Avice was looking towards the door now. Being the prince of Nagasaki, Gavin was sure Amy was busy. However, he knew after seeing the display here that it was right that he come here first and so while they continued to wait he decided to keep the conversation going.
"Its like you said, both good and bad. But I am sure it will work itself out in the end. You have actually given me hope in this land. I traveled all over the U.S. and searched only to receive nothing more then disgusted looks. I keep my knives in my pockets because, like you I have had to constantly watch my back for the fake smiles I was given."
He shook his head at the memories... Especially with the ones from Chicago and the "family" as they were called.
"But since being here I have yet to be threatened, in fact Ive been greeted most kindly, had warm conversation, and already learned a great deal. I know I just got here but I have hope."
He smiled... And decided to test fate. He laid down on the ground with his hands behind his head and just relaxed a bit. Not too much, but he had faith in his own ability and Chesters for that matter, to respond if need be.
"I know you must be curious yourself. Ask away if you have any questions. After all we seem to have some time"

Avice uncrossed her legs and brought her knees to her chest wrapping her arms holding them in. Resting her cheek on her knees looking at him. She could relate to a lot of what he said. She was unsure when it started but that safety was there since she arrived years ago. It is hard to trust when you have already either had it stripped from you or never had any reason to give it. Avice's knowledge of who Mitru was, is second hand entirely. The biggest difference she could gather from Gavin was that he knew his Sire, they had to of been some what close. She was not sure if his open invitation could be over stepped by Avice's curiosity. Still she'd ask.
"What is your story? About your Sire and your Change?"
