Amelia stared long and hard at the lithe, muscular male that hung from the ceiling of her new lab. His upper body was covered in shallow cuts and puncture wounds, wounds that needed studying. Her rapier had opened all the wounds across his body, wounds that needed to heal so she could reapply them. She only had two weeks to learn everything she could about her dad's weapon of choice. Two weeks she wouldn't waste.
The madness network hummed with the invitation she only wished she hadn't received. She knew that they would be attending the grand reunion. Tbe why was beyond her, there was so much more to do that the young scientist couldn't fathom there being enough time to accomplish all her goals and deal with the 'family'.
She figured her siblings would want to meet, and seeing as her lab wasn't even close to set up, merely a pair of chains hanging from the ceiling in the corner of the room. It would be their first and only ever invitation to see the room her dad had decided she deserved.
There was a cracked smile on her otherwise beautiful face. Her smile, like the labcoat, were both gift from her dad, gifts she was more than willing to show the world. "I know you're going to show up..." She mumbled incoherently at no one in particular. Let them come, then they could never again say she was a shut in.

Gabrielle made a face at the dangling chains in Finn's lab, the stench of human blood flooding her senses. She winced and took a step back, knowing that her sister was behind one of the doors, but not quite able to tell which one it was. Having changed into her more human outfit, a clingy tank top and a patchwork peasant skirt, she looked almost... normal.
She ran one hand through her crimson hair, trying hard not to shudder. What was all of this about? Why had Amelia invited them here, to this disgusting basement? The hallowed ground of the church burned through her rope work sandals, something she knew her father would never approve of. In Hell, she wore only what her parents liked to see her in, but when in the Skinlands, she wore whatever she wanted. And the hippie look was cute on her. People never expected her to be a violent, raging sociopath far too skilled for her own good.
Stepping back another step, she glanced down at the drain, clogged with a clump of brunette hair. This was almost too much... She was used to the wars and battles, to wounds inflicted whenever you took on somebody too strong for your skill level, but this was carnage and nothing more. There was no reason for this.
"Ugh... Amelia, are you here?" She called out, rubbing her bare arms as if she could warm herself up. "Amelia! You invited me. So I'm here. What's this all about, sis?"

Fin would show up a little annoyed that Amilia wouldn't leave for just a few moments to meet with her siblings. Such a shut in. Oh well guess things couldn't be helped. No matter. Finbar always loved seeing uncle Finn's artwork. It was always dark and brutal but beautiful in its own way.
He would walk through the large man's laboratory admiring the works that we're currently decorating his walls. They were new works, uncle Finn never did have the same art work, he wondered what the old vampire did with his completed pieces but Mother had told him it would be impolite to ask so he hadn't.
When Fin finally found Amilia's room he would open the door and walk in with a loud sigh.
"Geez sis, why are you always such a shut in? Seriously you need to get out more often and get some air maybe even make a friend or two?"
Fin shook his and tsked. Then he would notice that Gabrielle was there too, good that saved him a trip. Turning to face his sister he opened his hands as if asking for help.
"C'Mon Elle, tell the girl. You more than anyone should know where I'm coming from, right?"

Amelia's sharp eyes turned toward her younger sister with one delicate brow arching. The smile that spread across her features seemed far too large for her thin and angular face. Gabrielle was uncomfortable in her home, and that made her cackle discordantly.
It wasn't until her older brother came in, babbling like he always did about her needing friends, getting fresh air, meeting people that she responded.
"I've got plennnnnnty of friends Finnnnnnnn. Can't you hear them?" She asked with a giggle, tilting her head to one side. Finally she turned almost robotically toward Gabrielle, her red hair spilling over her pristine white labcoat.
"Why are you so uncomfortable being here Gabby? This is my hooooome Gabby! Don't you like it here?" She asked as she turned with a flourish, drawing out her rapier and slashing across the dangling figures chest, drawing out a thin red line.
A scowl marred her pretty features as she watched the blood drip down from the shallow wound she'd just inflicted. "It's still not right!" She groaned looking at the figure. A handkerchief seemed to appear in her hand that she carefully wiped the blade down with, scowling as she studied the body of her test subject.

"No," the youngest Vadia child muttered, mostly under her breath. No matter how completely despicable she may have found the place, she would still rather not offend her siblings. She had a soft spot for them both, even if she didn't like them most of the time. "No, I really don't..." She shuddered as she hopped over the red stain on the floor, sticking her tongue out at it and moving towards the door Fin had busted open.
She looked up just in time to see her sister take a swing at the male body, her form strange for a rapier. Glancing towards the poor sap that dangled by his wrists, she offered a shudder of sympathy, forcing her gaze back to the labcoat wearing weirdo she called her sister.
"Aren't you usually a firearms wielder?" Gabrielle asked with legitimate curiosity. Her head tilted to one side as she moved around Fin, careful not to touch him. It was obvious that she was still just as adverse to touch as she had been as a child. "What are you doing with a... rapier?"

Fin shook his head at Amilia. Letting out a small chuckle.
"I mean real friends. Not the ones in your head."
Then he watched as Amilia sliced into some guy, again he shook his head.
"You should know better than to play with your food."
Fin watched as Elle made her way around him, obviously uncomfortable. He rolled his eyes. She was supposed to be all Billy badass but she was always so scared of Uncle Finn's art it was stupid. He shrugged and nodded at Elle's comment.
"Yeah, Eto gave you a fancy gun why are you learning swordsmanship? Getting bored with hanging out in the background?"
Fin leaned back against the wall his hand falling to his hip as it usually did. It wasn't even a conscious effort anymore.
"It'll be fun fighting with both of you next to me in the heat of things... Assuming anyone ever gets stupid enough to try and fight us all again."

Amelia continued to study the wound on the man she'd just inflicted, both her siblings were, as always, far too... Normal to get thing like her friends. "I prefer firearms yes." She stated clinically. There was something wrong still, and for the life of her she couldn't figure out why it was she was having so much trouble handling the weapon. Given she'd only been at it for an hour or so, it wasn't normal for her to not simply grasp and act, respond with natural instincts. The weapon, the rapier was alien in her hand, perhaps that's what needed changing.
"And I have plenty of friends Finbar." She giggled turning towards both of her siblings at last. "Well, I need to learn how to use it, it's very important for my studies you see." She offered, looking toward both of them. "I would think the pair of you warriors have everything handled, after all..." She smiled toward both of them and looked back toward her test subject. "I'm just a shut in, why would I eeeeeeever get myself into trouble?" She asked, tracing a finger along her subjects wound, roughly measuring it's depth.
"And yet... Here I am going to a reunion with the pair of you. Why are we doing this by the way?" She asked as she once again looked toward them, those sharp emerald eyes hard and demanding. There wasn't malice, or disdain, or any real emotion behind those eyes, though her inquisitive nature was more than obvious as she studied them both. How they were all siblings went far beyond her current comprehension, maybe she'd study them next, figure out how they could all share the same parents.

Gabrielle very obviously flinched as her brother called Eto by his name, pausing a moment to turn crystalline eyes onto him, glaring. She offered a twitch of her upper lip, a look of disdain she learned from her mother, and then rolled her eyes. She wanted to make some snide comment about how she'd be the only one doing any actual fighting, but managed to keep her mouth shut as she glanced towards Amelia's wounded man. Quickly, she looked away again.
"Don't you have a blanket or something?" She muttered, having lost interest in their conversation. "Or a towel? SOMETHING to cover him up?" Nudity was not something she was comfortable with, nor was it something she particularly cared for. She enjoyed her clothes; it made it easier to pretend things like her parents' proclivities didn't exist. Shuddering, she turned her back on the victim, finally focusing on Finbar once more.
"Why did Amy and Octavian invite us over, anyways?" She asked, having caught the tail end of Amelia's comments. She despised the idea of family reunions. Similar to her sister's thoughts, they always seemed like such a waste of her time. She had better things to do. "So you made it back. So what? Do you get a cookie every time you do something right?"

Fin smiled threateningly at Elle for her comment.
"Of course not dearest little sister. If I got a cookie ever time I did something right I would've died from over eating. Though I guess you don't understand what it means to be rewarded since you keep failing at the one thing you swore you'd do."
Finbar would hold Elle's glare with his own.
"My parents wanted to see everyone and so everyone is meeting. I'm here to invite you over, it is your decision to come or not."
Then Fin would smile.
"However if you do decide to come, I've got a present for you and Eto from uncle Jude and aunt Trix."
Then Fin would look to Amilia.
"I know you also don't like to socialize but think of this. If you go you'll be in a mansion full of the most powerful vampires in the city and possibly the world, and now that you're older and you're perceptions are more refined think of how many notes you could write about the interactions of all those there. Surely you wouldn't want to miss out on that?"

"Why would I do that? I need to see how my strikes effect the entire system, not just parts of it." She responded curiously, oblivious to Gabrielle's discomfort. It was only a test subject, a male of the approximate build and size of any male she'd be fighting, and she needed data. Her thoughts were interrupted when both her siblings began their normal fruitless arguing. Neither of them made a bit of sense. It was as if the only one's not mad in the entire city rested with her dad in the cathedral; and they were considered the craziest of the bunch.
"Are you two quite through? If you're going to try and kill each other, please try to do so outside of my lab... I've got a very important experiment going on, and I don't have the time to repeat it if you both contaminate my results with your squabbles." Amelia huffed at them moving away from them both back over toward her test subject. A few more slashes and stabs with the rapier and the man was screaming in pain. She'd only just caught sections of nerve clusters, why was he screaming so loudly? The redhead drew out one of her many notebooks, scribbling notes inside in relation to every conceivable reason that he would be screaming.
Pausing for a moment she turned back toward her siblings. "I'll come Finny, but I need you too to try and get along... Geeze, you both have a pair of parents and your manners are worse than mine..." She shook her head in a tumble of hair. The contrast between it and her lab coat made her seem almost like a candle, fiery hair and a pristine white base. It was only her pristine black combat boots that damaged the image. "And Gabby, ignore him, he's being a brute. You can only fail when it's no longer possible to succeed. And that's obviously not the case." She let out a soft little huff and walked up to Finbar poking him in the chest. "You don't need to manipulate me to come to your partry, I know who's going to be there."
Those hard emerald eyes locked onto Fin's staring into his. "I want you to apologize to Gabby for being rude. This isn't your house, it's not your rules, you're not the Justicar's son here. You're our brother, it's about time you started acting like it." Those eyes turned toward her little sister. "And I want you to apologize to Finbar for being rude as well, you're both amazing fighters, you're both brilliant in your own way, and neither of you can compare to the other. It's like comparing Abutilon Mosic to Yersinia Pseudotuberculosis! You're both important, you're both lethal, but you don't have anything else in common!" Shaking her head she turned back toward her screaming test subject, poking and prodding him with her fingers, searching for the reason he seemed to need to be so loud.

She was just about to respond, the insult automatic and on the tip of her tongue, when her sister responded for them. Though, Gabrielle had to admit that the victim's screaming was quite distracting. She winced away from the noise, turning a sympathetic gaze onto the man's face, contorted in agony. She had heard noises like that come out of sparring partners when she had cut the wrong (or right) place, but that had purpose, reason. Amelia was torturing the poor soul and she just couldn't see why.
She almost wanted to help him. She knew that would upset her sister, however, and she had no interest in bringing the wrath of the giant madman down on her shoulders. Already, she had witnessed the monstrous side of her father, practically begging for her blood. She didn't feel like giving him what he asked for. Tucking her hands under her arms, she leaned away from the experiment, regretfully turning her attention away.
Amelia was in the middle of her rant towards Finbar, and the end brought a little smirk to her lips. It was odd how the most manic of them all was the one that kept the two of them from ripping each other's throats out every time they came around. She disagreed with the end statement, knowing full well that she could beat her brother if it came down to it, but Amelia was right. They were bickering like children in a home that wasn't their own.
"Sure, sis. Sorry." She glanced towards Fin only briefly during her lackluster apology, and then her attention returned to the man once more. "Can we get out of here, now? I think you've... experimented enough for one night..."

Finbar looked into Amilia's eyes an amused smile on his face. Even despite the screaming man in the background she was doing her damndest to make him and Elle get along. Still she was right, they were all equally lethal and dangerous but all in very different ways. He often wondered what would happen if the three of them got into a real fight with each other... Though he always came to the same conclusion. It didn't matter who won because by the time they finished fighting any spectators would have become accidental casualties.
"Fair enough my dearest Ami. I apologize for the inconvenience."
Fin would turn to his youngest sibling with a smile waving the air as if brushing away her failed apology.
"I am sorry Elle, that was rude of me and quite uncalled for. I shall try to be more cordial in the future."
Fin reached into his back pocket and pulled out a baggie full of colors and shapes.
"Oh and as an apology I am gifting this to you now."
Fin would say tossing Elle the bag of drugs.
"That is for you and Eto, you May take what you want from the bag just remember that it belongs to him as well."
He turned back to look at Ami.
"So I do believe our business here has concluded, I look forward to seeing you both tonight. But before I leave is there anything more either of you would like to discuss before this evening?"

Amelia listened to both of them still poking at her test subject before turning toward them both with that huge face-breaking grin on her face. "Actually... I'm going to need both of you... I've got this thing I'm doing, and I need two test subjects who'll listen and wont die if I poke them wrong." She looked both of them up and down clinically, measuring their sized and relative builds. If she was going to learn how to use the rapier properly, she might as well have the best subjects possible.
"After the party that is, if it's okay with you? Afterall, you're both big strong warrior types. I couldn't ever do enough damage to put either of you out of commission right?" She asked, with big emerald puppy dog eyes. Her current subject would just try to run away or beg for it's life, if she hadn't kept him verbally retarded. He wouldn't put up much of a fight, or a challenge to her and if she was going to succeed on her newest task, she'd need good powerful test subjects.
"Think of it as repayment for being so rude in my lab!" She giggled before turning and walking toward the door. "And I'd hate to be the one who didn't help me in my lab! Two on one is never good odds when we're fighting." With a tiny wave Amelia left to go searching out her dad. They were both invited after all.

Gabrielle shot a glare towards her brother, but it was cool in comparison to her usual fire. She hated his little nicknames for everyone. They drove her up a wall. Having grown up with parents who refused to call her anything but "Gabrielle," every time he called her "Elle," she had to remember who he was talking to. Amy was his mother, not his sister.
She rolled her eyes and followed after her siblings, fingers falling to her hip. She usually kept her scimitar on her no matter where she went, but the blade was attached to her thigh, under her skirt, where the Kine couldn't see them. It was safer that way, so she could follow her brother's family's rules.
"You want to spar with us?" She asked with a snicker and a shake of her head. The manipulation was obvious, but at least it was done in stereotypical Amelia fashion. "You think that's a good idea? A rapier is a thrusting weapon more than anything."

Fin stared at Ami with that, 'I know you're manipulating me because I just did it' look, it's a look that he had developed just for Ami over the years. But still a little spar sounded like fun.
"Sure. A spar sounds like fun, I'm sure between the two of us you're likely to pick up a trick or two."
Then he looked to Elle with a mischievous smile.
"Dont you think sis?"
