Avice began her trek to the Memorial but then shook her head. At the very least if she was going she was surely not going alone. She took a sharp turn toward David's cabin. She cursed herself for that, not afraid of snapping some low life's neck but nervous about seeing people already dead? How much sense was that supposed to make. Even after so long Avice knew the way. It was not hard to find. The Gangrel forest was as friendly feeling as ever and the night was decently calm. Since she became the Prince's Scourge actually since she came to Nagasaki period Avice knew what it was finally like to go some where and not think their would be some one behind every bush or tree waiting to kill her. She was comfortable enough to know her power and be able to do something if the case would happen. Inuko taught her that much, she only built from there and it was enough to be a successful Scourge.
But Damn it she did not want to go to the memorial. Some one had to Drag her there once again. Rumor and David's place came into view and she would walk the worn path to the door and give it a good knock. "Rumor, are you home? It's Avice." she would knock once more. Then took a step back, depending on how happy Rumor would be, she needed to brace herself for her Happy Sister.

The door flew open and, within a single moment, Avice was tackled to the ground. It was a familiar gesture, something that Rumor seemed to do to most of the people that she liked. Both arms wrapped around Avice's scrawny shoulders and an overly large fox tail waved back and forth in the air as the two sisters fell to the ground in a tumble. Her voice, the same soft, still-too-young-for-her-own-good voice that the Gangrel would always have, rang out through the quiet forest. "AVICE!" she squealed, nuzzling her sister's cheek.
Rumor hadn't changed much. Immortality rendered most captured, and the dark, almost black hair and sky blue eyes were just as they had been when the Scourge had left. However, if she paid enough attention, she would feel the changes her Golconda training took: a faint, almost-there heartbeat thumped just beneath the surface of her pale, perfect skin. She seemed to radiate calm and joy, undeniable, and could easily capture the attention of any onlookers just by simply existing. The Golconda charm was undeniable.
"Avice, you've been gone for so long! Where have you been, what have you been up to? How did it go? You have to tell me everything! Well, everything except the gory details. That's more you and Mum's thing and I really don't want to know... That's just gross to me, but you know that. That's why you're Scourge and I'm not, I guess. BUT other than all the Scourge-y Scourge details, you've GOT to tell me all about your trip! How did it go? Did you see anything cool? How long have you been back? You HAVE to see David! He's been taking so many pretty pictures lately, and he even took one of me that they have in the Museum! They call me 'Snow White' there. Isn't that funny? DAVID! DAVID COME OUT! AVICE IS HOME!!"
Just as quickly as she appeared, Rumor's weight was lifted off her sister as she jumped upright and hurried back into the cabin. It was a surprise that she had come to a good stopping place in her idle ramblings so quickly. More often than not, the Gangrel kept going... and going... and going. Yet, she seemed more interested in forcing her mute boyfriend and Momma's-Girl sister into yet another slightly awkward situation where she ended up talking more than both combined.
"Oh, and did you hear? I don't know if you heard, but David's been taking fighting lessons and he's gotten pretty okay! Well, better than me, anyways. Lizzie - you remember Mum's friend Lizzie, don't you? The kind of brash woman - well anyways. Lizzie is teaching him how to defend himself. Now that you're back, you can help, too! Right, Sister?"

David came walking out as quietly as ever, a soft smile gracing his lips. He was wearing what he always seemed to be in, jeans, a long sleeved shirt, and a beanie covering the down feathers that ran the entire length of the back of his head. One of his hands rose in a small welcoming wave. It always seemed that Rumor wanted him to talk to all of her friends all of her family, even the passing squirrels occasionally, without actually remembering that he was a mute. Mirth touched his forest green eyes as he thought about how truly brilliant his love was, while simultaneously being one of the most absent minded people he'd ever met. They could speak to each other, that didn't mean that anyone outside of a few of their clan mates could speak to him.
With a nod David waved Avice to come in, turning toward the inside of his little cabin in the woods. It was always warm, a small fire stoked comfortably in the fireplace. The old shag rug in front of the fire was always warmer than the rest of the furniture in the house. Given that furniture was all cast off couches and chairs. Even the hammock in the corner they'd salvaged from scrap rope David had woven into their bed. It was his home and he was welcoming what amounted to his sister-in-law to enjoy it's comforts and his hospitality.

Avice dusted herself as she walked in. Waving at David, "Hey bud, Yeah you guys really filled up the place, It is a home If I ever saw one." she smiled. "Speaking of next time I go on a chase maybe I wont have to make my way to the southern part of Yamaguchi. Or if I do I would prefer being able to see the sights. Oh sorry If I smell like a fresh Nossie, I really have not stopped for a couple of days. I am pretty sure Amy took my bag to wash out of pity. As soon as I... "Finished"... I took the train." She air quoted. "Of course there was a lot more to this trip, The guy was pretty strong Over powered me for a while there, so I needed a different approach. That was what took so long. I could talk your ear off about it, I mean it might seem a lot like a good ghost story, granted I took inspiration from Poe's Black Cat." She smiled. "Is Lizzie here?"
Avice immediately took to the Images on the wall, She did not have an eye for art they were just black and white images to her. But even so some pieces struck her, she almost felt a breath in some. Images eternally captured one single moment. It is almost poetic that they were taken by a Vampyre, but better yet for a kind who doesn't speak at all the Images of Rumor spell all the things he would say to her... Avice just might not see all this or maybe she did and was not sure. Leading into the main room she picked a nice cushy chair and repeated what she did on Amy's couch. She just sunk.

Rumor gave her lover a hug as soon as she noticed him, taking the time to gently brush her cheek against his. The feel of his skin always told her more than words ever could... There was never a moment when she didn't feel absolutely adored by the mute man that held her as the sun came up every morning. She placed a delicate kiss upon his cheek, moving her hand up before his face and showing him the sign for "I love you."
While he wasn't deaf, they often communicated through sign language to keep the multi-lingual Kindred well practiced. More often than not, Rumor translated what she could, and she had gotten pretty talented... so long as she could remain focused.
Turning from him, she followed her sister deeper into the little one room cabin, letting her fall down onto one of the chairs they had found. All of the furniture was mismatched, but that fit the two youthful Gangrel perfectly. Neither were particularly organized, nor did they fit into the type of cookie cutter society some of the other Clans were known for. Random, sporadic, and enthusiastic, they were both bright colors that clashed against what people took for common knowledge.
"He sounds like a total pain in the butt!" she huffed, walking over to the couch and plopping down. She was mindful of her tail, but it was so much a part of her that she no longer had to pay conscious attention to it. The fur gave a little wiggle before finally coming to rest in her lap, where she stroked the auburn softness idly. "You'll have to tell me about it sometime! It'll probably be a great story. You're a good story teller, after all, Avice. I love listening to all the cool stuff you do! Though, I don't think I'll ever be able to go with you."
Rumor had always been pacifistic to some degree, and since her love for David had blossomed, that had only deepened. She believed there was always an option other than violence, something most of her Clan did not agree with, and she'd sooner go down than force a hand on somebody.
"No, Lizzie isn't here. Not right now. But I bet David knows where she is! I told you they're training together, right? Of course I did, I just said that. Silly me! She's probably at the sparring arena, which is nearby if you don't remember. It's just a short walk. We'll have to go down the trail and then up one of the hills and there it is! She's probably beating up on some poor, unsuspecting neonate."
She giggled, mostly to herself, as she thought about the frizzy blond woman and her unusual methods. Lizzie was the Gangrel that trained Avice and Rumor's mother, Inuko Locke. In a lot of ways, the two were disturbingly similar. It always made her smile.
