The stories Nikolai told her of the stranger, her boss's son, had her heart racing in her chest even before she managed to find her way to the door of his penthouse. It didn't help, of course, that every creature she asked either laughed at her or intended to laugh at her behind her back. The confidence she had exuded during the easy, single-shot hunt just outside of the city limits melted away, leaving behind the tiny redheaded girl that realized she was just a human in a world full of monsters.
She hid beneath her simple, black outfit and oversized army jacket, hands tucked into the pockets of the green fabric. She hadn't bothered to disarm, aside from the large sniper rifle she had taken to using, but every gun and knife was almost perfectly hidden beneath the layers of fabric. Not a single creature she had passed seemed to think she was a threat; more often than not, she assumed that was why Eto had hired in the first place. She was unassuming, non-threatening.
Of course, more often than not, that did not work in her favor. She was standing in front of Alue's penthouse door like an idiot, staring at the wood and breathing in through her nose as she tried to come up with some sort of strength. It took her another minute before she raised and gently rasped her bare knuckles across the door, forcing herself not to slip her hands against the butts of her gun. Instead, she tucked her arms beneath the curve of her breasts and stared down at her shoes.

The white haired freak had spent the last of his evening dealing with a rather unpleasant group of thugs, hell bent on taking money out of his pocket through his drugs. He'd dealt with them in true New York city style, murdering them in cold blood. It wouldn't do to kill them angrily, after all, it was just good business. After that particularly irritating debacle, he'd retired to his suite thinking maybe he'd get some peace and quiet. Unfortunately even that thought proved to be not only untrue but damn irritating.
Rising from his seat on the couch, Alue walked half naked toward the door, opening it with a cocked brow. Someone had either given the strange looking female before him the wrong directions, or the absolutely right ones. That brow only rose a bit further as he noticed the slight bulges in her clothing. Lone girl wandering into his penthouse late at night heavily armed. Either she was crazy paranoid, or she was there to kill him. So goes another day in the city.
"Sup?" He commented, letting his eyes roam over her rather attractive feminine figure. Whether he was scanning her down for weapons or simply checking her out was totally up to her to decide. Not like he cared much. She did after all open his door.

She didn't know what she had expected, but the sudden, overpowering scent of masculinity sent her stumbling backwards. Her eyes, the slate grey of searching and intent, darted up to scan across his pale frame, that white hair, those blue eyes. Her human heart jolted into her throat as she fought to regain her balance.
The sensations that overwhelmed her nearly brought her to her knees as, for a moment, she simply stared. She hissed in a breath and instinct overpowered logic: her fingers caressed one of her guns. She felt her stomach twist as he spoke and she forced herself to take a deep breath.
"Ah... Alue?" She murmured, her southern accent drawl delicately caressing his name. "You are... Alue, right?"

"Yeah, you got the right guy." He commented nonchalantly. Leaning in the door frame, Alue stretched himself out languidly. "Is there something I can do for you miss?" He inquired, answering her double question with a pair of questions of his own. She seemed to be responding just like everyone else, almost. She hadn't immediately asked for anything other than his identity, nor did she throw herself at him. His delicate white brow arched curiously. "What brings you all the way up here?" More questions, he wanted her unbalanced, wanted to see exactly how she responded, to learn exactly what she wanted from him.
His eyes scanned her again, watching as she fingered one of her cleverly hidden weapons, but she wasn't overtly threatening him. It was more defensive. Curiously, his lithe almost ethereal form seemed to curl as he pushed off the door, moving to stand just inches away from her. "How are you feeling?" He asked, his voice silky smooth, laced with just a hint of power.

As soon as he took a step towards her, Cady stumbled back another few steps. The opposite wall was almost at her back, but she didn't seem to notice. Her fingers continued their idle caress, but her eyes widened. "D-dont," she whispered before she realized words had escaped her lips.
Clearing her throat, her gaze darted away as she tried to regain what little composure she had left. She straightened her tiny frame, spine rigid with the effort, as she looked up at him again, cheeks flushing with color.
"Acadia. My name is Acadia. I... came up here to meet the infamous Alue." She didn't stutter as much, despite her urge to reach out, to touch him. She desperately wanted to be near him and that was enough to chase her another step backwards.
"I'm nervous. But you... you look like you're u-used to that... I swear, I didn't... come to hurt you. I just wanted to... meet you." She winced slightly, taking another single step back and ending pinned against the unrelenting wall. "Is... that okay?"

Alue smiled, though the look wasn't quite kosher. No malice existed in the smile, but there was a darkness to it, revealing just a bit of the predator that the white haired freak was known as. "It's nice to meet you Acadia, and yes, it is okay for you to meet me." And just as suddenly, that smile turned gentle, almost kind as he closed the distance between them, stopping just short of pressing his body up against hers. "What is it you'd like to know?" He asked quietly, seductively; reaching up to trace one finger down her cheek delicately.

She physically flinched away from him as he reached up to touch her, entire lithe frame quivering. Her mind begged her to touch him, to let him touch her, but her self control was slowly melting away the closer he came. She wanted to beg him to hold her, to take her into his arms, and that terrified her. Her knees audibly clacked together as she pressed herself as tight into the wall as she could manage.
Please, god, no, god, please, I just can't... I can't, please don't touch me, please.
Every fear and uncertainty came flooding back as she realized that, for the first time, she hadn't a clue what he was trying to do. Whatever intent he might have had was hidden from her sense, and that terrified her. For years, any person that crossed her path, she instinctively KNEW. She knew what they wanted and what they were willing to do to get it. She understood them. This stranger, this frosted man, read to her even less than Nikolai.
"I-wanted-to-know-who-you-are." The entire sentence was spoken like a single word, her fear no longer hidden behind the facade of strength. Her heart was racing in her chest and she plastered herself as tight as she could manage against the wall. Acadia was violently fighting the urge to just... give in. To let him take her off to whatever Neverland he promised when he said her name. "I-came-to-get-to-know-you."

Alue remained just inches away from the strange mortal, his delicate brow still arched high above one eye. "Well why didn't you say so in the first place?" He asked, leaning forward just enough to stop his lips from brushing up against hers as he spoke.
Just as quickly as he'd moved toward her, he moved away, once again letting his fingers trail towards her face. "Well why don't you come in Acadia?" He asked, breathing a bit more power into his words, an almost warm smile gracing his white lips.

The moment he stepped away from her, she let free a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding, turning her focus back to the weapons decorating her lithe frame. She had perfected the art of seeming unarmed, at least to the untrained eye, and she may have just blown that to bits. Stupid instinct... stupid discomfort...
"God dammit," she whispered under her breath, feet moving before her mind managed to catch up. She was following after him, letting him lead her into the Lions den, where she'd have no power. Yet, she couldn't find the willpower to stop herself. She swallowed back the rising bile, folding her hands together and gently ringing her fingers, an old nervous habit she thought she had managed to rid herself from.
"I... Okay..." Cady blinked, staring down at her hands for only a moment before returning her gaze, those slate grey eyes seeming to melt into a grassy green, the green of knowing ignorance. She couldn't read him, no matter how hard she tried...
So why bother?

Alue smiled almost wolfishly, blue eyes alight with both curiosity and mischief. "Relax Acadia, I'm not going to hurt you." There was no lie in his voice or his movements as he led her toward the leather couch situated in the middle of the main room.
Standing politely, he offered her choice position. "What is it that you would like to know Acadia?" He asked her smiling, not unkindly toward her.

Every time he said her name, she felt chills whisper their cool breath across her skin. She was fiddling idly with the stray fabric of her sleeves, trying to find something, anything, to distract herself. The heat that flushed her mixed so deliciously with the cold, it had her shaking, quivering, like a little girl.
She slid into the seat furthest from him, knees weak and making it easy to collapse into the couch. Even so, she couldn't help but stare at him, to admire his form as he stood there. Her heart jumped into her throat, making words difficult. "I, ah, you, um, because..."
Cady cleared her throat and stared down at her hands, clasped neatly in her lap. Her entire body was flushed and she couldn't stop the shakes.
"I've... never met... anyone like you?" She finally managed to get out, managing to pull her legs up and tuck her ankles beneath her hips without disturbing the weapons that were plastered against her delicate legs. "Is... is asking what... you are rude?"

"While it's generally considered rude..." he began walking his fingertips up the couch toward her inner thighs. "However I am an oddity, I'm a mix of the best and worst parts of my mother and father." He whispered softly smirking as he leaned forward a bit.
"Half of me is a vampire, the other half incubus." He smiled tilting his head to one side, giving her a whole view of his neck and collarbone.

The shape of his clavicle instantly became her obsession. As soon as he bared himself to her, slate grey faded to an almost feline green, her "sixth sense" no longer a concern as she focused entirely on the way his skin stretched over bone and muscle. Her breathing came out in short, rapid heaves, and she was vaguely aware of her quivering.
She didn't realize her hand had slipped away from her lap, lifting - almost of its own accord - to trace the lines that reminded her so much of art. It instantaneously made sense: people like Alue were the reason so many artists obsessed over the human (or, in this case, "human") form. She hadn't ever realized how beautiful it could be.
The moment Alue's cold crept past her fingertips, she was his, a slave to his whims and desires. The silly little virgin hadn't the slightest idea what she was getting herself into, but something deep inside her told her it was okay; she could trust him to take care of her. She melted against his chest, eyes closed, as her willpower sputtered out and she offered herself to him...
Foolish little human that she was.

"Do you enjoy how it feels Acadia?" He asked her, his voice dipping down just a hair in tone as his arms engulfed the form of the female against him. "Welcome to the rest of your life." He almost purred as he ran his cold fingers down her sides, a chill that could be felt even through the layers of her clothing.

[AAAAAAAAND FADE TO BLACK.]
Two weeks, a lot of tears, and poor Nikolai getting a crash course in chick flicks and ice cream, and Acadia finally gathered her gall back. Dressed almost identically to how she had the time before, hiding behind the oversized clothes.
She shifted awkwardly from foot to foot, debating with herself on whether or not to knock. She had to hiss in a breath, then, forcefully, she raised her hand and knocked.
With purpose.
