This event will begin August 1, 2016 and end on August 31, 2016 at 23:59. Each month, I will post an event and those interested in participating will sign up on the thread. You may use as many of your characters as you want for each monthly event, and every character used will get a prize: freebie points to use on your sheet, a special weapon, armor, a new haven, etc.
Prompt minimum: 200 words.
This month's prompt: Sendai Tanabata Festival, AKA the Star Festival. Sendai Tanabata Festival has been passed down through the generations as a traditional event that dates back to the era of Date Masamune, the first lord of Sendai Domain. Today, the festival is known nationwide for its elegance—derived from an ancient Japanese star festival—as well as its gorgeous decorations.
Requirements:
-Prompt minimum
-One-shot (do not involve any other player character directly)
-Involve at least one NPC
-Interact with the festival, or purposefully avoid it!
-Feel free to interpret the prompt however you'd like.
-No breaking the Masquerade!
-Make it make sense!

Since August was a terrible month for everybody, out of character, I think I'm just going to extend this event.
This will count as the September monthly event, now. If you haven't signed up and wish to, go ahead. If you have, you still have another month to complete your stand alone.

-Concoction of Vitality ;; A simple vial of a sweet smelling white liquid that, for a single twenty-four hour period of time, returns the consumer to a completely human state. Any curse, including the Curse of Caine, will be removed for the duration of the day, and the individual will age, hunger, and bleed with the human vulnerabilities and the human enchantments. At the end of the twenty-four hours, the consumer will return to their previous state rather suddenly, and the whiplash has been known to be agonizing. The vial was a private gift from Etonis Vadia to Amy O'Connor, though the details remain known only by those two.
2. Rumor Black [Completed]
-Lamp of Constantine ;; A small lamp that resembles an oil lamp, the light within never seems to go out. It is rumored that Constantine was gifted a piece of the sun itself, which was then blessed before being placed within the lamp. If shined at a ghoul, the Lamp is able to remove all blood bindings, and if shined at a Kindred, it is said to lessen the burdens of the Curse of Caine. The full extent of the capabilities of the Lamp have never been explored. Rumor literally stumbled upon it. Because Rumor.

4. Avice Locke [Completed]
-Hand of Conrad ;; The mummified hand of an overly powerful Brujah that, if held to the wrist of a vampire, will attach itself and come to life. Of course, the vampire wishing to use the hand must first sever her own hand to provide a stump for the hand to attach to. When attached, it grants the possessor increased Potence, Courage and Brawl (all stats to be immediately raised to 5). The hand is also rumored to have the power to raise the dead through necromancy. Avice found the mummified hand among her belongings randomly one evening with only a single note: "Tired of living in the shadow of a legend? Let me help you."
6. Angel Mau [Completed]
-Argent Baton ;; Resembling a police baton in appearance and made of "moonlit, kissed silver," the Argent Baton is a melee weapon with great effectiveness against Garou, some Fallen, and any other creature with a weakness to silver (most of which the weapon seems to be able to sense, as it vibrates when in proximity). Unbreakable but blunt in its force, it is most certainly a weapon to be feared, especially by the shifters. The baton was presented to Angel by Mizuki, Felix, and Lizzie as a welcoming present into the Gangrel Clan.
7. Gavin Donnelly [Completed]
-Bloodspot Dice ;; A set of dice that guarantee a win for the owner. However, after every won gamble, one of the forty-two marks on the set will turn crimson red, and once all are utilized and all marks colored, the set will lose every gamble until "reset." The only way to reset the dice is to soak them in the blood of somebody with a slit throat. The set was found in the pocket of his jacket one night, as soon as he rose. Where they came from is a mystery.
