GENERAL RULES OF NAGA REAL
► R.E.S..E.C.T.
Treat staff and each other with respect. It’s pretty straightforward. We’re drama-free and we plan on keeping it that way. Handle any issues privately. We expect anyone who shows up on our site to be able to control themselves, lest they be banished from the kingdom! We are not going to re-iterate every single little respectful conduct rule, as most are familiar with these from past sites. Use common sense.
► AGE
Proboards requires you to be 13, but in joining this site please keep in mind that the role-players here are mostly college-aged and older. Such is reflected in the heavy development and complexity of the characters, as well as the overall social environment (which is our primary concern). We really prefer if our players are at least 18 or 19, simply to maintain balance for the community. This board is dark and will probably only get darker; please understand and be prepared for that.
► ACCOUNT CREATION
Register with a username that resembles your character’s display name.
After registering, your display name must be your character’s ‘First Last’ names.
We have no character limit, but we would appreciate if characters got established a little before making more than 2. And make sure to familiarize yourself with the rules every time you're ready to make another. Details are likely to have changed. While we have no set limit, we may temporarily cut a member off if they seem to be having trouble keeping up with activity for pre-existing characters.
Your first two characters are expected to have been Embraced less than five years prior to this RP, unless otherwise approved of by a staff member.
► POSTING
We are technically a no word count site. However, we require people to abide by a ‘give what you get’ rule. Keep your responses fair to your partner. This goes for quality, shorter, and longer.
NO GODMODING! If it happened, then you can use your character’s perception of the events in referral. Stating anything about another, not established in play, must have prior consent. This includes doing anything that would force another character (not involved in the plot) to respond to your plot.
Swearing is okay totally fine. We're all adults here.
Write in third person, follow the plotline, and adhere to a logical posting order.
This may include skipping somebody for a turn or two or waiting for them to post.
When posting your thread, make sure to have the Title include how "open" the thread is like so: Title [Open], Title [Invite], Title [CharacterName].
(Open means anybody can join, Invite means only those invited may join, and a Character Name after the Title means it is a private thread.)
► ACTIVITY
Posting and activity is very easy on this site. Threads and accounts must be posted on every 3 weeks. [4 if signed in w/in a week]. Applications must be completed within 2 weeks of registering. There are no warnings. Threads will be locked and accounts are deactivated or deleted accordingly. Work is kept on the board for a moderate amount of time, but do not count on your work staying on the site forever. Even threads will be deleted if all parties have gone inactive. Save work that is important to you! We invite anyone back after deletion; we simply like to maintain an appropriate representation of what we have to offer. However, re-application will have to meet with current rules/restrictions, as though brand new.
Absences may be posted in the Departure Thread as a courtesy to your fellow writers, although it is not a requirement because we feel our easy activity expectation is ample time to drop by for a post.
► CBOX RULES of NO
No Advertising, obviously. Other sites can be mentioned but take any further discussion to private messaging or the advertisement board!
No Drama. Even mild disagreements should be taken to a private place or dropped. This includes passive aggressiveness.
No Excessive Plotting: Cbox is not your private playground. Try not to dominate the box with talks that should be taken to a plotter or pm.
No Excessive Bellyaching. Naturally, we will pay attention and gently pet you when you need it. But be respectful and don't be a constant downer every time you show up in the box.
No Bashing. While we're not a site that coddles over trigger warnings, we do expect you to be respectful and polite of people's interests/characters. If it's not your thing, just leave it!
