Octavian sat in a little cafe across from Sakura Place Complex, his invitation sent, and he'd been informed, received. Now he waited, how long he was unsure. He'd been careful, taking a cab to get to the cafe, called by a person who'd never know of or remember the call. No one he assumed knew he was out. That was exactly how he wanted to keep it.
The cafe was itself cosy and comfortable, a bit off his style, but none of that concerned him now. All that mattered was keeping Nagasaki safe, that also mean Amy, Finn, the Lockes, everyone. He needed to meet the eastern monsters, needed to stop them invading his home. Amy wanted peace talks with the monsters. So did he, on their turf, without the possibility of casualties on their side. He'd heard rumors throughout the city, and seen for himself what he was about to get himself into. This would be the knight on his chessboard, he'd only need a queen if this went well. And he had one in mind. Now all he needed was patience.
"How long am I going to be waiting?" He mused quietly to himself, looking out across the plaza.
"Not long." Came a reply almost immediately behind him.

The message he'd received was rather cryptic and vague. Amateur at best. The little time it had taken him to figure out who was contacting him he'd been paranoid. Red flags were all over the message, dangerous red flags. But the little vampire was just below him waiting, very visible. Why would the oddly titled prince's beloved be contacting him of all people? Stranger still, why the poor attempt at cloak and dagger? Either it was a trap of some kind, or this was the warm young vampire's real attempt at stealth. It would be explained in person, was the message he'd received. If that was the case he was unsure. Their first meetings been strange, he had no read on the strange young man.
A couple quick messages sent out, one to the oddly titled Prince, and one to Don and he was on his way. Down and out of the lobby, through the foyer and out to the cafe. Eto watched the strange young Neonate for only a few minutes before responding to his obviously self directed question. "Not long." He pondered for a few moments. "You called?" He asked his ruby eyes hidden behind square sunglasses staring into the Octavian's surprised and frightened eyes.

People wandered about on the streets idly, but only one might be recognizable. She had pulled her black hood on to cover the tuft of bright orange hair, and after a while of deliberation, had even donned clothes that could almost be considered normal. She milled about, back and forth in her waft of brimstone, trying her best to go unnoticed. She had found a friend, a close personal friend, and sent them to Princey-Pooh with the message. Hopefully, she would be able to come and stop whatever madness was brewing behind the brown eyes of her husband.
If he had gone off his rocker enough to make DON worried, there was something wrong.

Octavian kept his eyes on the strange redheaded vampire, he was one of the only vampires in the city whom he knew didn't answer to Amy directly, and was rumored to be dangerous, at least to hear it from the Brujah bouncer. He needed dangerous for what he was planning and there was only one other individual whom he might call on, and calling on him was dangerous. But it was a gamble he was willing to take. "I need you, to help me stop a war with the eastern monsters." Blunt, to the point and as reasonable as he could be given the circumstances. He had no read on Eto, couldn't tell if he was good or bad, kind or not. Given most kindred either took to him kindly or were outright offensive. Eto broke that mold. The strange assamite didn't abide their rules, didn't even know them if half of what he'd said was true.
He had to help him, it was a war, and no one should ever want war. He stared into those red eyes, willing him with all his heart to help him. If only to stop the war. He didn't particularly care what favor was owed the strange Italian, only that the bloodshed be averted. "You'd be doing Nagasaki and the kindred of the city a favor, and that wouldn't be overlooked." Bribery, perhaps. Letting him know what the possible positives were. "Here..." He motioned toward a car parked along side the cafe. "We'll go for a ride and talk it out. Any questions you might have I'll answer to the best of my ability. I've got one other person I need to talk to to make this happen. I hope you don't mind the company." And with the he stood up, the bill had already been paid and his tip more than generous to keep the waitress quiet. He moved with with normal feline grace into the car, plopping down into the front seat, awaiting the Assamite.

Eto watched and listened to Octavian very carefully, keeping his eyes out for any signs of deception or outright lie. After only a few moments, he figured that the vampire was almost completely incapable of lying. He wanted Eto to stop a war, but he didn't know at all about his conversation with the oddly titled prince, and his refusal to assist in armed combat. Interesting. Favor in the city would go a long way to helping him achieve his goal of eventually settling there, but could the strange vampire deliver? Eto nodded once during the entire exchange, but something was eating at him. Why all the cloak and dagger, and why was it he and not the oddly titled prince calling for his aid? Only more questions rose to mind as Octavian seemed to explain himself.
Octavian rose and moved toward the car, Eto following carefully, another quick message, the make and model of the car with the license plates, straight to Amy and Don. Who was this other Kindred they were headed to see, and why just the three of them? Wouldn't a show of force be far more effective than just a mercenary, a strange husband to the ruler and someone else? More and more questions. With a shake of his head, the red haired vampire slipped into the passenger seat of the car waiting for more information.

Don quivered slightly as she watched the redheaded monster slip into the car, taking note to memorize it. She knew a bad idea when she saw one, and for a moment, stealth was a long forgotten memory. She blinked her glowing eyes, standing there as if she might never relax again. Then, all at once, the host body collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
Concerned onlookers began to softly question the situation, a few moving to talk to her. The host did not respond, but she was breathing. It wouldn't be long before an ambulance was called.

Octavian drive carefully through the streets of Nagasaki, he needed to be as inconspicuous as possible. Amy needed to be kept in the dark. He loved her with all his heart, and if he could keep the coming catastrophe from touching her, he would. Another turn and another and He pulled up to his destination. The Cathedral. Finn's home.
"I'll only be a few minutes if you don't mind waiting master Etonis." Octavian smiled warmly to the stoic mercenary.
Taking his leave of the car, the kind ventrue made his way carefully into the cathedral, greeting the pastor with a kind smile. He had no desire to move into the depths of the cathedral uninvited, so he simply took a seat on one of the pews waiting to see if the madman would grant him audience. "Please Finn, please, this isn't for me, this is for Amy." The young neonate crossed himself and began to do something he hadn't since he'd left home oh so long ago. He prayed.

As Octavian knelt to pray, the world continued its silence around him. Nobody dared to make a sound within the walls of the Cathedral, the patrons all bowing their head as they gave up their greatest desires and deepest sins to the man in the sky. The priest, the only one who had acknowledged Octavian's entrance in the slightest, remained frozen beside the oak doors, his palms turned up in greeting. For a long moment, nothing around him moved, allowing him the privacy they assumed him to want.
It was a few minutes before one of the other patrons, from a few rows behind the neonate, stood from their spot. Even as she did, it went unnoticed, as if time itself held its breath. The average looking woman moved towards him slowly, pausing after every step forward, her eyes a familiar emerald, beneath thick lashes. She was staring at him, boring holes into his shoulders, until she came up to him at last.
Standing just behind Octavian's shoulder, the woman continued to look down at him as if he were the scum beneath her shoe. It took another few seconds before she spoke, and when she did, it was the far too familiar voice of the Malkavian Primogen echoing from between feminine lips.
"What has brought you to my domain, neonate?"

He'd been preying quietly, waiting on Finn. When at last the madman spoke, Octavian turned towards the woman, staring at him with those eyes. Finn's eyes. He wasn't exactly surprised that the Malkavian could change forms, unnerved by the idea, but not surprised. "I need your help to stop this war before it begins. Nagasaki was crushed when Lady Locke died, and that was just a battle. Imagine what it could do to everyone else if something happened to you, Rumor, Dante, Amy, even me..." He stated up toward the madman, no fear in his eyes, just concern. "I brought the Assamite as well. If we three go up there, outside Nagasaki, weighted able to stop this war before it even has a chance to begin. To protect everyone." He said as simply as he could.
The madman was the queen on his chessboard, Eto the knight. He'd need as many pieces as possible if he stood any chance at stopping what was to come. He trusted Finn, more than he trusted himself. At least where Amy was concerned. The madman would protect Amy. Of that he was sure. "All we need to do is get there, I've got a car waiting outside, and you're welcome to it if you'd join me." He offered that Malkavian Primogen his hand to shake. The last time they'd shook hands Finn had freed him. But what could this agreement bind him too?

As Octavian began to speak, there was no response from the lunatic. That unnatural stillness continued on, all throughout the Cathedral, as if somebody had frozen time. Nobody spoke, moved, or even seemed to breathe. He did not interrupt him, allowing the neonate his little speech, but his head would twitch obviously against his shoulder as he spoke the name of his beloved childe. Dantye's face showed across his mind and lips pulled back to expose fangs that resembled Mizuki's.
Still, he waited until he was finished. A hand was extended towards him and Finn dropped his gaze just long enough to glance at it before green eyes rose, slowly, to meet the warmth beneath the amber.
He wasn't certain he trusted Octavian after everything he had done, both to him and to Nagasaki as a whole. There was a part of him that wanted to rip the man's throat out, right then and there, so he could do no more damage. The Prince would be heartbroken to know what he was plotting behind her back. Yet, he spoke the truth... The city would be in ruins by the end of this war. He took a slow, deep breath, then let his smile return to normal.
"I'll go with you," he agreed, finally, and extended his hand for a shake.

Concern colored the resonates face as Finn bared his fangs, but those eyes and that hand. Octavian reached out shaking Finn's hand firmly. "Thank you." He smiled before the larger man. More and more Octavian could see it. The man Finn truly was hidden behind millennia of age and madness. Finn was a strong stern righteous man, even if he himself didn't recognize it. Releasing his hand he turned towards the door heading out towards the car. They had one night to stop this war. One night to keep Nagasaki safe. One night so his beloved Amy never had to see a site like Nuko's or Lunaria ever again.
He raced toward the car, flinging both the drivers and passengers side doors open. Once he'd hopped in he'd rev the engine hard. Getting ready to drop it into gear the second Finn would close his door, and peel out and away from Nagasaki.

Finn was right behind him, the presence of the Assamite washing over him. He had half a mind to offer Eto a sight he certainly would not appreciate, but starting a fight here, in Octavian's car, seemed like a very bad idea. Instead, he dropped his mask the moment he was folded uncomfortably into the seat.
He adjusted the car as much as he could to give his seven foot frame space. His emerald gaze would turn back to the church, where suddenly, life seemed restored. People moved, the priest went inside, and then the doors closed. He knew that one of his Clanmates would take care of his childe while he was gone, but sadness touched him to leave her.
"What is your plan, cousin to madness?" He asked, forcing his attention back to his Prince's husband.

The moment the far to large Methuselah was in the car Octavian hammered down on the throttle. Tires screaming in protest as they tore away from the Cathedral. Octavian spoke quickly, his brown eyes focused on the road. "We're going to go see if we can find us the leaders of these monsters, and if I can't talk sense into them... Well... This is war." He growled out the last three words, anger rising in his voice. "We kill every last one of them to the man. Etonis is the sword, and you're the scalpel Finn, you're the most knowledgeable among us. You find who we need and either change their mind or send them to their hell."
"Etonis, you stick with me, fight with me and to defend me. We stop them here, we stop the war, the city and everyone in it is safe, and no one in Nagasaki has to suffer at their hands... Only mine." His last two words were spoken with such utter contempt for himself, for what this might do to Amy that his feelings were almost palpable. "If I don't survive this, I only ask one thing of both of you. Tell Amy that I'm sorry and I love her." He'd made it through Nagasaki and was headed north, toward the eastern monsters territory.

Finn tossed his head back in a cascade of eggplant colored hair as the plan was unfolded before him. The giant placed a gloved hand against his own cheek, gaze all glimmering and bright. It was humorous to him. He thought he could go into the heart of their territory and fight them on his own terms?
"Child, do you know who you will be facing if you go straight to their leader?"
His laughter rose to an almost deafening level, his fingers curling against his face. When it finally died down, he was still chuckling under his breath, his eyes wide. He may have said something about "foolish," but it was almost as if it were spoken in a different language.

Octavian tilted his head glancing toward Finn. "I have no idea who or what I'll be dealing with." He answered honestly, completely unafraid. The Malkavian's laughter was always unnerving, but not without reason. Who was their leader, and what did he plan to accomplish, warring with Nagasaki? Octavian no idea, but he'd know more as soon as he encountered the leader himself.
He shook his head focusing on the road as they drove, he didn't have all the answers, on that note, he hardly had any of them. He just knew he had to do something. Right?
