Angel would wake early getting ready to meet the Prince. But as he was doing his morning ritual he realized that taking Belle to meet the Prince was going to be a big... Well things could go very poorly. With that thought in mind and the fact that their encounter last night was... It left Angel with a bad feeling in his gut. He was worried that Belle would feed off of his negative emotions which would affect her behavior in front of the Prince. Deciding it would be best to quell that he figured he would do something nice for her. After all, it was the Valentine season, and he didn't really have anyone to love so with that being the case why not do something for the one that means the most to him.
Leaving the hotel Angel would take to the streets. Walking to and fro looking for the perfect gift. What could he get her that would raise her spirits? Visiting stores as well as random vendors he would search through all the wares to find her THE gift.
Through out his searching he would stumble upon a random hole in the wall shop. It was something that he would normally pass up but there was a small cat in the window that froze him in his tracks. The kitten reminded him if Belle for some reason...
Opening the door he would walk inside and look around. It was an animal shelter near as he could tell, but most of the kennels were empty and only a few animal supplies hung on the walls. The place didn't even have a heavy animal smell so this place had been empty for some time.
Angel made his way to the front counter when his hearing picked up a man speaking ahead of him.
"No baby, it's going to be ok. I promise."
Then Angel would hear the soft sounds of sobbing, and a woman's voice.
"What are we going to do? We don't have any money, we only have one kitten and she isn't even expensive, there's no way we-"
The man shushed her and Angel would walk into sight seeing them embraced. The woman couple was young early 20's at the oldest and the both were wearing engagement rings.
"How will we afford a wedding? Maybe you shouldn't have fallen for me. If you didn't your parents wouldn't have taken you out of the family and you would be able to make something of yourself."
The woman said face buried into the man's shoulder. The man shook his head.
"My love for you means more than money would ever get me in life. I'd rather live in a hole in the ground than a mansion as long as it meant you would love me till the day I die."
The woman squeezed him tightly shaking her head up and down.
"I will always love you."
The whole encounter brought a bloody tear to Angels eye. Wiping it away he would clear his throat as he walked up to the couple. Both of whom would immediately stand up and compose themselves.
"Y-yes, how might I help you today sir?"
Angel knocked a thumb behind him.
"I saw a cat in the window and I was wondering if I could purchase it. However I couldn't see a price, so I would like to offer an amount and see if that would be enough."
The man and woman looked between each other both were very unsure about the stranger and his offer but the woman would tentatively speak.
"I, Uhm, I guess?"
Angel nodded his thanks and pulled out his wallet, luckily he still had access to his family's old account and he pulled out a large sum of money from it... So after today he wouldn't have any more access to it. But these people needed the help and he couldn't just turn a blind eye. So flipping through the bills he would pull out $10,000 and put it on the counter.
"Will that be enough?"
The couples eyes went wide.
"W-w-what? N-no! Sir I appreciate this but there's no way we-"
Angel nodded and cut her off.
"You're right that is a Beautiful cat and must be very expensive so that wouldn't be enough."
Flipping through more bills he tossed another $15,000 on the table. The woman looked as though she was going to feint. The man quickly got her a chair and have her sit.
"Sir, I can't thank you enough your generosity-"
Angel held up a hand.
"No need to thank me this is your business and I'm giving the money I believe the cat is worth, but I'm also going to need some toys, litter box and litter, food, and a kenal so..."
Angel would hand him another $25,000.
"Alright and that should be all. I deeply appreciate y'all helping me make someone close to me a very happy person. Y'all have a wonderful life together, and never forget. Both of you stay by each other and work through every issue. No fight is worth the cost of love. Life is too short. So through everything focus on love and support each other."
Without another word he would turn around grab everything he paid for, and the kitten then leave. He had to get home and wake up his own kitten so they could go meet the Prince...
Life is short... That's what he had told them, and because of fate his and his cousins lives could end tonight...
