Angel started to nod but the fact that she asked that question in that peculiar way...
"I knew one, once. Belle and I befriended one in our travels. He was a little... out there, but he wasn't looking to harm only to have fun."
He paused for a moment. Contemplating the Prince's words.
"I suppose that Master Finn is nothing like that..."

As Angel spoke, the Prince began to laugh once more, her arms wrapped tight around her waist. It grew in volume for a moment, then she tossed her head back to finally look the white-haired fellow in the eye once more.
"There is no such thing as innocence with the Malkavian," she informed him, though her voice held kindness. "Only varying levels of guilt."

Angel shrugged and cocked his head from side to side.
"That's fair I can see your point. Now that you mention it..."
Then what she was hinting at dawned on him.
"I was sent here so something really bad would happen, wasn't I? Master Finn was testing me to see what would happen and what I would do?"

She nodded, still grinning. "Mhmm," she purred softly, then turned to stand up from her little bean bag chair, wiggling until she managed to get to her feet. She raised her fingers to brush her hood back from her face.
"Everything Findero Lauden will do or say... is a test. You learn to expect that from him."

Angel nodded and stood there in contemplative silence for a moment.
"So..."
Angel began to ask.
"How much danger would I be if I went to the bookkeeper in an attempt to talk him into giving me the sargon fragment? And in your honest opinion, do you think I would survive?"

Amy did not bother to verbally respond to his question. She stared at him for a long moment, her eyes cold and distant, as she contemplated what he had asked of her. Would he have survived?
Slowly, she gave a shake of her head from side to side.

Angel nodded, fully expecting that answer.
"Thats what I thought..."
He let out a sigh.
"Ya know if it wasn't for my cousin, I'd be half tempted to go down there any ways, just to see what would happen... But I can't leave Belle by herself."
Angel slumped. Exasperated.
"I'm going to need a lot of training in order to get anywhere with them."
He would say indicating not only the Tremere clan but his family and the Sabbat as well. He scratched the back of his head in frustration.
"I'm weak on my own... I really need to fix that."
He would say out loud, more to himself rather than speaking to Amy.

Amy did not interrupt his thought process, allowing him to speak for as long as he wanted. He needed to train himself? He wanted to be strong? And what made him think that his cousin NEEDED to be protected? As far as she had seen, Belle could defend herself.
"If you can truly read the Journal of Sargon, it should not take much longer."

Angel chuckled sarcastically.
"Ya know one would think that. But the Journal is a pain in the ass. He is in the need of a huge attitude adjustment. In three days of work I got 3 pages unlocked and shit ton of unanswered questions."
Angel shook his head.
"In order to learn more from the book I need to find more of the fragments. But I don't know how many fragments there are and the book refuses to tell me, the only lead I have is that Master Finn knew Sargon and possibly knows where some of the fragments are, but when I went to see him this is where I ended up. So if this is what I've got to look forward to then I need to get strong without the book before I can get strong with the book."

Amy only offered him a single, thoughtful nod. She understood where he was coming from but he wasn't sure if he could, especially with the open animosity she so often felt towards those of the Tremere Clan. She blinked a few times, then glanced over his shoulder and down the alley the bookshelves created, as if looking for something. Her eyes gave a flash and she turned her attention back to the man right before her.
"There are those in this city that will be willing to help you better yourself," she offered quietly, though it was obvious that she was distracted.

Angel looked towards the Prince curiosity in his eyes.
"Without owing a favor? I already owe Cho, Finn sent me here to see if I would live or die for the sake of curiosity and amusement. With those odds it doesn't look like I've got much going for me."
Though despite his words inside he was hopeful that just maybe the Prince had am answer for him...

"You never want to offer a favor to the Harpy," she murmured cautiously, giving a shake of her head. There was nothing he could do about it any more, but perhaps she could teach him something - anything - to help him keep both himself and his cousin safe in the future. "The information gatherers are often the most dangerous, and Cho is no exception."
Why was she helping him? She still was not certain. Perhaps her husband really WAS rubbing off on her.

Angel shrugged and nodded.
"Good advice."
Just a little too late... Sigh.
"So then who would you recommend I go to?"

"A Clan known for helping those in need," she murmured quietly, curiously. She tilted her head to one side. He was ignorant enough to go to the Toreador and the Malkavian to help. Could his story be true? Was he really just a lost neonate in search of safety? How intriguing. "There are rats in the sewer that hear everything. Surely, somebody knows something."
Amy was not certain if she should be helping him out, and if she tried, what good it would do her. She knew that she was risking making a member of a known enemy Clan stronger, perhaps even strong enough to be the death of her, but she couldn't seem to stop herself. He seemed like a sweet kid. Unless this was all, somehow, a ruse.

Rats? Sewer? It took a moment but he realized she meant the Nosferatu. He hadn't even thought about them. They hear everything. Angel nodded.
"Thank you. I should have thought to check them out. Where is the best place to meet them? Are they just sprawled underground or do they have their own place to meet?"
Angel asked curiously.
