So late at night, most of the candles had been blown out and the visitors to the bombing site had already left to go home. The overly large monument that stood in the center of the yard cast a shadow, and at its base sat a thin girl with a children's book. She was wearing an overly large hoodie, but it did not hide the striking, manic blue hair that fell around her face, hiding the scars and burns that would plague her the rest of eternity.
She was the only person present, shifting uncomfortably against the cold, solid stone of the wall. She didn't seem to be able to get comfortable, but her eyes were obviously keen as she read in the almost complete darkness, even as clouds passed over the moon in the sky.

Angel would have just made it to the monument. He hadn't been to this part of the city. It felt... Chilly. Or at least that was the best he could describe it. He could see and hear all the dead that still lumbered around this place. It was eerie. He would be distracted, trying to avoid running into the dead. Which he couldn't actually do but he couldn't just walk through these... People?
To anyone else he would look like some lunatic dancing around and empty field.

Blue glanced up, keeping as much of her face covered as she could. There was little she could do about her hands, just as gnarled and scarred, but most people did not bother to look at them for long. She could see Angel, dancing around as if he were avoiding something, and her head tilted curiously to one side. What was he doing?
Beneath the fabric of her jacket, she could feel her feathers ruffle, but she managed to keep her wings pinned tight against her back. She did not know this strange man, so obviously, that meant he was a threat, right. Breathing in the smell of the bombing site, she placed her book aside.
"Can I help you with something?"

Angel heard a voice in English. Finally, hopefully someone he'd be able to speak too. He looked around, trying to see who had spoken to him. He noted a figure that didn't look like the rest. It was sitting next to the actual monument which was confusing to see as the buildings that used to be here as well as the building that was here now. This sight was going to take some getting used too...
But he would make his way to the person at the monument.
"Hi, hello. Sorry it's just. Place is a bit... Crowded. How are you?"

"Crowded?" Blue asked without looking up at him. Her gaze scanned the empty yard all around them, brows furrowing in confusion. "The place is empty?"

Angel looked about at the same field and it was crowded and busy and all the buildings even seemed to be here. Then he would turn back to the person on front of him and shrug.
"I see dead people?"
He said it as a joke just in case this person wasn't part of the masquerade.

A brow cocked, unseen, beneath her hood and hair. She wasn't certain how serious he was being in this regard. As far as she knew, there were kinds of people who could probably see the dead, but how likely was it that he would be one? And if he knew he could see the dead, why would he come to an area known for its tragedy?
"Oh."
It was a very quiet, non-committal response, but she hadn't outrighted dismissed him. Her book was lying, untouched, on the ground beside her.

Well then... Tough crowd. Next plan?
"So, Uhm... I was directed here because I'm looking for some help with getting information... I was told to look for someone named Burnd. Is that you?"
He would ask carefully not wanting to offend.

Bernd. Her head jerked up in obvious recognition, her scars visible in the moonlight. Once upon a time, Blue was pretty. Perhaps even beautiful. Burns and ugly tears had marred her skin, eternally morphing her into an almost monstrous look.
"Why are you looking for him?" She murmured softly to the soft sound of feathers against the air. It would seem random, her wings still hidden. Yet, Blue managed not to be too aggressive, curiosity replacing the suspicion that had been her natural, initial response.

Angel was shocked by her appearance but not as shocked as he had been when he first saw glimpses of the poor souls still trapped here. The way some of these ghosts looked... well lets just say they would probably give anything to look like this chick.
"The Prince sent me. I've been looking for information about something called 'The Sargon Fragments' and she told me that Burnd would probably be the best to offer me that sort of information."
He would say in earnest.

She tilted her head to one side slowly, curiously, before she finally nodded.
"If there's anything to know about them, then Bernd will know," she confirmed in an almost childlike way, offering him a broken smile.
Standing, she motioned for him to follow her.

Angel smiled back at the poor girl.
"Thank you very much."
He would say as he followed after her. Still trying to avoid running into ghosts and buildings that were still present in the shadow realm.

"What's your name?" She asked, leading him towards the back building, what looked to be a water shed at the back of the memorial.
She moved with the well practiced grace of a fighter, but in that moment, it was the only thing that could be called beautiful about her.
"I'm Blue."

"Angel."
He would say as he avoided running into a child that looked like a melted skeleton. Then he would look back to Blue.
"Nice to you meet you, Blue."

"Angel?" She asked, her face suddenly beaming. It was easy to see her beauty within that smile, the way her eyes lit up with nothing short of glee.
"That's what Bernd calls me!"
