The rest of the trip went by without incident as Octavian drove them out of Nagasaki and into the territory of the Eastern Monsters. They were not known for their love of their western cousins and, more often than not, the Kindred would be killed on sight. With the war looming so close overhead, Finn was surprised that their car was not attacked the moment they slipped out of the city lights. There was very little incident at all, in fact, as if the entire world around them held its breath. It was incredibly unnerving.
After a little while, Finn had to give Octavian directions. He led them to an inconspicuous location: a tiny little hole-in-the-wall restaurant attached to a gas station. All of the lights were burning bright, but it looked as if nobody was home. His laughter bubbled over again as the Network twinged and rippled. He knew exactly who was inside.
Opening his door, he didn't bother to wait for the other two men to get out of the car. He unfolded himself and stood to the entirety of his seven feet, raising his arms as if in greeting. He could feel them in the shadows, all around. For a moment, he wondered if he would have to call them out, as they stayed just were they were, staring at him from their hiding spots. Then, rather suddenly, they all came forward.
There were twelve of them, all looking entirely human. Even their auras glowed with life. If it weren't for the two guns they each had, raised and pointed towards the Kindred, one might think nothing of them. Finn's grin only grew as he looked over the Keui-Jin.
"Cousins," he greeted. One could witness the ripple of disgust that flashed across their faces, but they had all made a single mistake: they had looked Finn Lauden in the eye. As his laughter burst from his giant frame once more, they all seemed to look confused, their eyes widening and jaws slack. Against their will, they lowered their guns and remained completely silent. "See, the issue with retaining your soul, cousins... is how damned easy it is to control you."
Quietly, a clap could be heard from behind the wall of gun-wielding idiots, all looking as if they had suddenly ended up with some kind of mental retardation. Clap. Clap. Clap. Clap.
"Good show, old friend."

Eto stepped out of the car almost as quickly as Finn, as if by magic his scimitars appeared in his hands, glowing with their enchantments. The place seemed rather run down for the kind of operation he was expecting. Either they were infinitely more powerful than he expected or this wasn't their OP site. Twenty four guns were leveled and all the giant did was laugh. Ruby eyes glanced momentarily towards the towering form of Finn before returning to the scene before him. He'd sent out his last message to the oddly titled Prince and Don. Now it was up to them.
"Strange." He said rather curiously, his stance relaxed and ready. These strange vampires from this strange place really knew how to put a show on.

Octavian stepped out of the car last, his weapons holstered and their safeties on. By the time he'd cleared the car the twelve men had already been reduced to gawking. His brows turned down as he looked the group over, they all looked human. Something was off. That voice. Where did he recognize it from? Octavian turned toward first Finn then Eto, and at last the wall where that voice had originated. 'No reason to worry about it now, I've got a city to save.' He thought as his blazer whipped about in the wind. His hands were in his pockets then as he started, those brown eyes searching the darkness for any sign of what was to come. Hopefully Finn and Etonis had no more to do than they had already done. Hopefully, he'd have a chat with their leader and resolve this problem before it became one. There were a lot of hopefully's. Brown eyes gazed toward the voice watching, waiting.

Finn didn't bother to respond to either of the men getting out of the car. He knew the Assamite would hold true to his word and keep Octavian safe for as long as he was able, but he could only hope that meant he would manage to get him out functioning. If he did not return to his wife, Amy would burn all of Japan to ash. The Eastern Monsters did not have a chance against her wrath. It seemed whoever was behind the goons, still hiding in the shadows, knew that. All of the focus remained on the madman and on the warrior. It was as if Octavian did not exist.
"Hiding, now?" the lunatic demanded, giggling as if drunk. He knew he was making a fool out of himself and enjoyed that fact. "I took you for a lot of things, but not one of them was a coward."
There was a heavy silence that hung over them all. The Keui-Jin that were standing between the Kindred and one of the leaders of their species were completely unable to speak. They stood awkward and limp, but at least they were still standing. If he wanted to, he could drop all of them with a single motion of his hand and his enemy knew that fact far too well. If he said the wrong thing, all of his brothers would be nothing but ash when the morning sun rose.
Finn's laughter grew. "I guess you have changed in the years since France."

Eto watched each of the goons seem to remain still, regardless of the giant's goading. He started to move, his steps careful and precise. The tattoo's below his clothing had begun to glow, and his presence as not a vampire was made readily apparent. No harsh blast of power this time, only the simple shift from vampire to human. His hands would reach out as he moved, almost to fast for the eye to see as he disarmed all of the goons, carrying all twenty four weapons back to the car, popping the trunk and dumping them inside. He turned then still silent and returned to the gathered trio. If anything was going to happen, it had better happen soon. Something was coming, and she was pissed.

Nobody moved to stop the strange Kindred-creature from disarming the remaining goons. They stood by, useless and brainless, waiting for some kind of instruction. Finn's smile grew across his face as he looked at them, knowing very well that they were the only thing standing between him and the one Octavian had come all this way to speak to. He raised one gloved hand, holding it out towards them. Every goon shifted in unison, and as he threw his arm across his body, they fell like dominoes. Within moments, they all hit the ground, unconscious. They didn't breathe or shift. Behind them, in the shadows, was a tall, Japanese man wearing a simple black tuxedo. He had untied his bow, letting it rest loose around his neck. He stepped forward, not bothering to look at his fallen brethern. He could feel that they were still alive. Comatose, but it was a temporary state. "Finn," he greeted in a thick, accented voice. "What a pleasure to see you again." It was obvious as the two men faced off that there was nothing nice about the situation. Hatred flowed freely between the two. The tension was so thick, it could be felt physically. The hysterical laughter was not nearly as maniacal as it had been only a few moments before. It was edged, as sharp as a blade. "Nichiya DeMorieve. How nice to see you again."

It took every ounce of willpower not to clutch at his head as Rini's screeching voice echoed throughout his thoughts. Nichiya was alive, and Octavian had killed and diablerized his wife. The rush of emotions that threatened to sweep away what was left of his strength, when Rini piped up in his mind.
~He'll kill her before your ugly eyes Octavian~
"No he wont." Octavian growled, everyone in the area would be able to hear it. Hear the hatred in his voice, a hatred that had nothing to do with his beast. This was all the auburn haired neonate. All his fury, directed towards the female inside him. The monster he'd consumed to keep her from the heaven she so desired, and the husband that stood before him.
"It has been a while hasn't it Nichiya?" Octavian's voice was as hot as forged steel, and just as sharp. The Ventrue neonate stepped forward, past Finn, his eyes carefully on the bridge of Nichiya's nose. He wasn't going to be playing mind games with Nichiya. "Why have you come to my home to destroy it?" He demanded, standing before the dangerous eastern monster. His blazer still moved with the wind, but he, Octavian O'Connor was still as death.

The growled words echoed across the empty parking lot. Finn did not bother responding, having heard Rini's whisper across the Network. Dead and diablorized would not disconnect her from their great Father. However, this was not his fight. He stepped aside and allowed the two to focus the entirety of their attentions on each other.
Nichiya, however, looked incredibly confused. He turned his dark gaze onto the stranger and tilted his head to one side. "Do I know you?" He asked, voice a low rumble. He had no way to hear his wife, and in the years since he departed from Rini, he had lost contact. He didn't know what fate had befell her.

"You're here because of her." He spat the words, standing in that stillness. Something about it was wrong, ugly on his normally too warm features. "I can hear her you know, telling me. Telling me that you're here for Amy. MY love because I killed yours." Each sentence was filled with Venom. He could still see the images of Amy burning in his mind, hear her screaming. The beast wasn't meandering toward the forefront of his mind. He was running. "You wont touch her, I wont let you." He growled again. "Now take your kin and leave. Please." He struggled with that last word, trying to maintain some semblance of civility.
Octavian didn't want civility, he wanted blood, and violence and fury. It was almost as if the neonate was possessed. Nichiya had caused all this or was working for someone who did. "The people of Nagasaki don't need a war, nor do they want one. Leave us alone." Again, that growl, only more in tune with his beast. Frightening how the two seemed to agree more often than they quarreled.

Nichiya stared at him as he ranted and raved, sounding just as mad as the eggplant haired monstrosity. He was practically spitting as he accused him of whatever crime he seemed convinced he had committed. His head tilted slowly from one side to the other until, after a small moment, the words sunk in. His love? He had only ever opened his heart to one person: Rini, his wife. And she hadn't been around to respond to anything he had to say in quite some time. His teeth bared and his entire body seemed to lower for a moment, as if he were preparing for a fight.
"You killed my wife?" he demanded of the little neonate. As far as he could tell, he was the weakest of the three present, and his arrogance would not allow him to admit that Finn or the stranger - Eto - would ever be able to defeat him. He was one of the most powerful Eastern Monsters that graced Japan! He would not fall so easily.

Octavian watched the too human Nichiya bare his teeth. They really were all monsters. His fingers flexed popping audibly as he clenched his fists. "Your wife murdered the Prince of Rome. Painted a picture with her blood, a picture for you. You who had died." He responded to the eastern monster. "She murdered one of the kindest people I've ever met. She came to my WEDDING!" He finished with a growl.
"Your wife killed my friends, and now you're here to kill the people of the city I call home!" Octavian stepped toward Nichiya. "Your wife tried to kill me when I went to talk to her, to try and save her!" Octavian's pupils were growing, fury swirling with pitty for the damned soul before him.

Finn could feel the anger within the neonate, growing disturbingly close to a frenzy. He knew that a fight was imminent but trying to stop it would be futile. He stared at his Prince's husband, those emerald eyes full of recognition. What would happen whenever the kind, warm gentleman lost himself to the Beast that raged within?
"Your kind has killed hundreds if not thousands of my brothers and sisters," Nichiya challenged, oblivious to what his wife had done. He knew that Rini had always been far too willing to give herself to the monster Malkav, but that was something he had been willing to accept from the moment he met her. Her art, her way of life, the shine that had existed in her eyes... It had all been worth it. He would not hear this child speak ill of her.
"Who is your wife? The Visceriene? You believe her to be innocent? I watched as she destroyed my people! We were content for your Western BEASTS to stay away from Asia, and we would remain here, in our own territory. But she invaded. She came into OUR lands and captured them for herself, for her own selfish gain!"

At the very mention of Amy, Octavian moved, military training and the private training he'd been under via his loving wife, he dove into a roll, pulling his handgun, hidden from view by the roll. He came up as close to Nichiya as possible, dumping three rounds as fast as he could towards the eastern monsters chest, as well as looking towards Nichiya's eyes.
"Freeze." The order was given with every ounce of power he could muster. Octavian wanted this over and done with as fast as possible. Nichiya was going to pay for his transgression against Amy.

The moment he moved, it was as if the entire world was set back into motion. Finn jerked forward before Nichiya could advance, blocking the attack he knew was to come. The sound of metal rang out through the air, followed immediately by the ripping of fabric and skin. Octavian would look up to see the giant in front of him, protecting him and shielding him from the sight. There would be silence for a second, before Nichi spoke again.
"Is he worth it, son of Malkav?" He asked, voice low. There was no answer. Yet, the dumbstruck goons began to regain their consciousness and their movement. Slowly, their hands began to clench, searching for the guns they had held moments before. Or, at least to them, it had been moments.
The sound of Finn attempting to breathe echoed. It was a strangled, pathetic noise, and very unbecoming of the Malkavian. Yet, as he lowered his hands to his sides, any Beast that raged near the surface would pull back. Unlike Rumor's song, which often filled people with peace, it was obvious that Finn's functioned through fear.
"We claim this first blood," Nichiya said into the darkness. "And offer you honor. Take your injured home and nurse his wounds. For war is upon you."
The goons would make loud noises as they seemed to shrink back into the shadows. Nichiya was gone. And Finn... He had taken a katana across his chest, opening up a wound deep enough to expose his yellowed rib bones beneath. He was bleeding. Profusely.

Octavian didn't even see Finn's movement until he was right in front of him. The sound of ripping clothing and the scent of blood hit him hard. Finn was hurt? "Damn!" With a quick turn Octavian holstered his weapon, reaching to take a hold of the Malkavian Primogen. The neonate turned Finn to face him. "Finn! That was my hit to take!" Octavian was almost mad with worry and rage, and a swirling mix of more emotions than he'd had to deal with since the funeral. Large brown eyes searched for Finn's harsh emerald greens. Dropping himself down to his knees with the giant, he pulled his suit sleeve down with his bared fangs, revealing his bare flesh for the madman. "Feed, get your strength back." It wasn't so much an order as a request.
Training had taken over, he didn't have time to focus on whether or not the eggplant aired Malkavian listened. His attention was turned to the Assamite, his knight. "I'll keep Finn safe. Hunt them down! We have to save the city!" He barked turning once again back to Finn. His brown eyes glistening with anger and rage and concern for the old madman. "And you've got to be okay Finn alright?" He asked the madman, with a crazy grin of his own. "No more heroics alright?" He asked, cradling the madman's head in his arm, waiting for the feeling of fangs sinking into his wrist to take hold.
